WHAT WE ARE ABOUT!
Hey heyyyyyyyy @ whoever is reading this, thanks for taking interest in Clitorally! If you’re yet to pick up an issue of the zine, you probably don’t know much about it. Allow me to enlighten you....
First of all, Clitorally is a feminist zine. And when I use the term feminist, I don’t use it in an underwhelming sense; what we’re doing is brash and confrontational; we are not shy about the fact that we consider ourselves raging feminists. If we come off as really “pissy” or whatever, it’s because we are. We’re not denying that. Contrarily, we are embracing that. We are transforming our anger into art of all forms: narrative storytelling, poetry, lyrics, illustrations, collages, photography, etc. Whatever medium we feel best expresses our ideas is the medium we’ll use. The confrontational nature of Clitorally has the potential to make some readers uncomfortable. We’re aware of this. This is OK. We think it’s good for people to come in contact with material that can be discomforting because that means it’s challenging you to consider topics that you would rarely consider or totally disregard otherwise. That being said, if you have anything you would like to contribute to our zine, know that this is an inclusive, welcoming space and we are also willing to listen to what you have to say; as long as you aren’t a misogynist dick about it. AKA, no hate mail, please.
Every issue of Clitorally will be available in print format as well as online. Neato! Issue #1 is totally free, so definitely try to get your hands on a physical copy if you can. The following issues, in print format, will be, are, and have been $2 each, but they’ll also be available for free on this lovely website, in case you don’t have a way of getting a physical copy. That being said, there are multiple ways of obtaining Clitorally.
1.) Email any one of us and ask us to send you a copy in the mail! Old school.
2.) Check your local bookstore cooperative!
